Divergent assessment
Trend of Education in the Digital Age
Trend of Education in the Digital Age
We know that the digital era is composed by knowledge
and information within it the potential that exists in the intangibility of the
same value is recognized. I question myself about "intangible" that
endures in time and never ends; I realize that now it is not so important to
convey information quickly and in quantity, what is important in this era is
how to process and manage this information to generate knowledge and that
enable to strengthen and grow people. However, for this, the person must know
how to manage knowledge.
On that subject, I remember very well the words of Dr.
Domingo Gallego in his conference at the Pontifical Catholic University of
Peru, when he said that knowledge is not achieved in the overnight but is
primarily a cognitive process accompanied by affection in which the person is
immersed in order to give place to a phenomenon called "knowledge."
That means, the educational trend in the digital age makes that the virtual
teacher as the face to face one generate Knowledge, "watch out" ,
both paradigms have the same value but they act with different functions or
models, for example, virtual education responds to a distance education model,
which is based on construction and qualitative rather than quantitative
criteria, on the other hand the assessment is also intended as a consensual,
participatory and shared process, in which interests, therefore, that students
participate in the experience, built and produce meanings thereon.
Finally I would like to highlight that the demands of
society always require more, in less time, but with enough space for discovery,
that means learning and knowledge have a high value nowadays into the social,
economic and policy spheres of human organizations; whose impact has gestated
changes in work areas and relationships. .
